Tutor/Co-tutor of at least 65 university degree thesis in biological disciplines and of 9 PhD thesis; hosting-laboratory for the training of foreign students: graduated (from Egypt) and PhD students (from Spain, France, Portugal, Iran), and PostDoc (1 India) (short or medium term visits); proposal evaluator in the EU FP5; committee member for PhD exams in Italy and abroad and for national comparative evaluations for the position of university researcher; member of the Italian Society of Environmental Mutagenesis, also serving in the Scientific Committee (1998-2001), member of the Italian Genetics Society and other national and international scientific societies. Author/co-author of about 99 peer-reviewed papers, 10 contributes in volume, and at least 197 posters or communications at national and international scientific meetings. Reviewer of manuscripts for scientific ISI journals, national and international research projects, and for PhD thesis. Direct responsibility (partner or P.I.) in regional and national research projects; subcontractor in a EU FP5 project, partner in European projects FP6, FP7, H2020 and in one transborder cooperation project (IT-SLO 2007-2013). Currently working in VIRIDE (PRIN 2017) e PNRR projects. Past or present collaborations: UniTS (Trieste), UniVe Ca’Foscari e ISMAR (Venezia), IFREMER (Nantes, La Tremblade, Brest), Université de Bordeaux I, Université de Montpellier II (France); Universidad del País Vasco, Bilbao, CSIC-Vigo (Spain); Plymouth Marine Laboratory (UK); Universidade Estadual de Londrina, Paraná (Brasil); Jagellonian University, Kraków (Polonia).
