3rd International Symposium on the Advances in Marine Mussel Research

The deadline for abstract submission has expired.

Notes for guidance:

We kindly ask you to submit your contribution to this conference using this template.

Please, fill the food restrictions text box if you have any allergy or intolerance.

Owing to organization reasons, please don’t forget to indicate if you intend to participate to the excursion on the 28th of August 2019 (Po river Delta and Scardovari, including lunch). The excursion cost is roughly estimated in not less than 50-70 euro. The individual cost strongly depends on the total number of participants according to the bus (e.g., 33, 52-54 persons) and boat (min 40 persons) size.

Selected abstracts, accepted as oral communications or posters, will be notified by 15/05/2019 via an e-mail from convegni.biologia@unipd.it, together with the registration details.

Additional registrations will be possible online and on site from 16/05/2019 onwards, until a maximum of about 100 registered participants is reached.

AMMR 2019 will be hosted in Palazzo Grassi, a 18th-century palace located in Chioggia (VE) and, for this reason, the abstract proposals for the scientific sessions will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

About Oral Communications

Oral communications will last up to 40 minutes (main lectures) and 20 minutes (selected presentations) including 5 min for discussion, with the allocated time depending on the number of contributions.
Both mac and pc machines will be available in Aula Magna of Palazzo Grassi (no need of personal notebooks/portable computers).

Speakers are required

  1.    to check locally the slide show and
  2.    to upload the presentation at least 1 hour before the start of the session, in any case on Aug 26 (no time guaranteed on Aug 27).

For each session, chairpersons will help the speakers to rigorously respect the scheduled time.

About Poster Presentations

The maximum poster size is 70 cm wide x 100 cm (vertical orientation).
Bring the poster with you to Palazzo Grassi and leave it at the Registration desk on the 26th morning (first floor).
All posters will be hanged up in numbered positions in the large lobby before the entrance of Aula Magna (first floor).
Posters should be on display from August 26th morning to August 27th 17:30 (abandoned posters will be discarded).
Authors are encouraged to be near their posters during the session intervals.

Poster Awards

In the occasion of AMMR 2019, the book company Zanichelli makes three shopping vouchers available to regularly registered poster-presenting participants not older than 35 years of age: total 500 euro to be assigned in different proportion to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd best posters in form of Zanichelli books (see in www.zanichelli.it books of your interest, including bilingual dictionaries, grammars and language courses). The poster-presenting participants are expected to illustrate their work standing at their poster during poster sessions.
